Don't you dare take the lazy way. It's too easy to excuse yourself because of your ancestry. Don't let me catch you doing it! Now -- look close at me so you will remember. Whatever you do, it will be you who do.”

What is an excuse? An excuse is a reason or explanation put forward to defend or justify a fault or offense.
I was the excuse, "QUEEN". Always making excuses for most of the things that I did in my life. Trying to justify to myself and others, why I did the things I did. Tried to make an excuse for:
Even though I come from a background of liars, thieves, teen moms, single moms, cheaters, drunks, drug addicts and abusive relationships(whether it was mental, physically or verbally abuse) doesn't mean I had to become them. I knew right from wrong, when I laid down over and over again with these men who didn't love "Tacha" for "Tacha" but, what I could do for them in the bedroom. I made excuses for so long but, when God spoke to me to do a seven-day self-evaluation and I evaluated, "Tacha" I saw myself for who I really was, I looked fine on the outside but, was tore up in the inside. I let go of the self-pity, the anger, the hurt and started taking responsibility for my mess, whether good or bad.
I had to put on my big girl panties and stop making excuses for the wrong choices I made (not my mom, dad, sisters, brothers, kids, husband) in my life and deal with them, let them go and move one. Age is not what makes someone mature but, taking responsibility for your mess, stop making excuses and letting it go is what makes you mature.
I want to encourage you to stop making excuses for the choices you made, stand up and own up to your choices whether good or bad. Know that when you begin to take responsibility for your choice you have made, you begin to mature. Don't complain about it because, "WHEN YOU DON'T COMPLAIN, THINGS BEGIN TO CHANGE." Keep your head up....BEAUTIFUL!

2 Corinthians 5:10
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.

- Why did I stay in a relationship that wasn't good for me......
