“Submission is not about authority and it is not obedience; it is all about relationships of love and respect.”

As I am sitting here typing my blog, all I can see is the smile on my husbands face. We battled back and forth with this submissive thing. I hated the word submissive, hated when he says I am the head and you need to learn how to submit.
Let me break it down for you. If you have been reading my blogs these last 30 days (It has been 30 days since I have been blogging and have gotten over 3011 views. YAY, building my platform for my first book coming in 2015). But, back to the task at hand. I was a teen mom and a single mom of five boys. I had five kids by five different men and those was the only five men I ever been with until my husband. Not knowing, I was being submissive to my "Kids Dad" they were getting wifely duties from me and I wasn't even their woman. I would lay with them, when they wanted, I would cook for them if they were hungry, I made sure my house was clean if they was coming over and I even washed some clothes every now and again. Young and Naive, I felt that was what I needed to do to keep them but, they were getting Wifely benefits, when they wasn't even Husband material.
Now God Blesses me with a Good man(not perfect, we all fall short) and he works my nerves, just as I works his but a Good husband. I had and still has such a problem with being submissive. I felt that if I was being submissive makes me weak, vulnerable, stupid but, in contrast it makes me strong as a woman. Being submissive doesn't mean I'm weak, it means that I am strong enough to submit( Somebody might not like this...but, let the truth be told). I am not saying, I have it all together but, I am a work in progress. But, I know who I am, I know that am a STRONG woman, not WEAK, I am a SMART woman, not DUMB, I am WONDERFULLY and MARVELOUSLY made.
To all my beautiful and smart women, Submissive doesn't make you weak but, know who to submit too. Don't let a man expect you to submit to him, if he hasn't put a ring on it. Love you all and thanks so much for your support.
I Love you Booker T. Williams, JR.

Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and He is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband. Ephesians 5:21-33
